Do you like dancing? Do you like food? How about live music? And, do you like the idea of helping children? Then you should attend the Sigma Alpha Iota Dance-A-Thon Benefit Fundraiser for the Baltimore International Academy Language Immersion Elementary School! This school is starting their very first music program and they need YOUR help to get this going.
The ladies of Sigma Alpha Iota will be holding a 12-hour team-based Dance-a-Thon on March 2, from noon to midnight, and it will be a ball! How does a Dance-A-Thon work you say? It’s simple! Someone from your team must be on the dance floor at all times, and the last team standing at midnight will win the prize!
What else will there be besides dancing? I’m glad you asked. There will be a supply drive to benefit the school’s future music program. Anything from musical instruments, music stands, music books, paper, pencils, markers or any other school supplies will be collected. The team with the most supplies will also win a prize.
But wait, there is more! There will also be crafts, games, dinner, dance lessons, a costume contest and impromptu dance-off challenges. If your team or organization wants to set up a booth to sell things such as food, crafts or merchandise, the proceeds will be split 50/50 between the organizations and the school.
This event will be held at the Holiday Inn off of Front Royal Pike. Pre-registration is $3.50 per S.U. student and $5.50 for non-students. Registration at the door the day of the event is $5 for S.U. students and $10 for everyone else. Even if you can’t come for the whole time, we would love to see you, and the the elementary school children of Baltimore International appreciate your support, no matter how big or small.
