The SGA elections are fast approaching! These elections will determine who leads the student body through the upcoming school year. Do you see yourself as a leader among your peers? Do you see something you would like to change about our university? Then pick up an application at the Brandt Student Center Information Desk starting on Monday, March 25. Below are important dates and deadlines:
Monday, April 1:
Packets are due back to the Info Desk or to Rick McClendon by 9 p.m.
Wednesday, April 3 – Thursday, April 11:
Campaigning across campus and through social media for the offices of President, Vice President for Undergraduate Affairs and Vice President of Graduate Affairs. The Chief of Staff, Director of Administration and Finance, Director of Communications and Director of Professional Development candidates do not campaign; the SGA president appoints them.
Wednesday, April 10:
The SGA Candidates Debate begins at 5 p.m. in the BSC Ferrari Room. Come ask questions and get answers about their plans, ideas and goals for the upcoming year.
Thursday, April 11:
SGA Election Day. Check the SGA Facebook page, Your Student Life, and the SUN-e for the online link to vote.
The SGA has made major strides this year, and is seeking strong leaders to build on what has been created thus far. We know you’re out there, Hornets — apply for a position and make a difference!
