The Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business is hosting its fifth annual Business Symposium on April 4, centered around the theme “Building For Success: Learn, Network, and Succeed!”. This all-day event features a variety of guest speakers, breakout sessions, a lunch and learn session, and vital information for anyone who seeks insight into the world of business. Attendees will leave better acquainted with the steps that will ensure thriving business endeavors.
Each year, the symposium grows due to the number of guest speakers, sponsors and attendees. And this year’s event is no exception. The two keynote speakers are well-known figures in the world of business: Donald Pierce, consumer and business insights officer for the East Division of McDonald’s USA, LLC, and Thomas Frey, Google’s top-rated futurist speaker. The day’s schedule of breakout sessions includes expanding your business through digital media, how to manage family-owned businesses and the ABCs of starting your own business.
There really will be something relevant offered to everyone to attendance. Even if business is not your major, whatever profession you choose requires business tactics and procedures. Attending a symposium like this will give you a leg up in your career, not to mention it is free for students and takes place on Partnership with Community Day. The symposium is considered a service to the community, as it is an open event, so contributing can count as a service project.
You can either register at the door or beforehand at subusiness.org. Come to the symposium and learn how to build towards your future success.
