‘Doah Spotlight: April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Members of the SU women’s group LIBERATE spent Sunday afternoon tying teal ribbons on one of the Brandt Student Center trees in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. One in five women is a victim of sexual violence during her lifetime, equating to about 540 women at Shenandoah University alone. One ribbon was tied for each possible victim on campus in the hopes of bringing awareness of the prevalence of sexual violence.
