New and exciting things are happening in the Winchester area. Most of you wouldn’t think so because this is a small town but believe me, they’re happening.
For an adventure around the town, I hear there is a brand new doughnut shop off of Route 11. Strite’s Donuts shop is unique because it is actually a trailer from which the doughnuts are made and sold.
They set up their mobile doughnut shop at Carl Frye’s housing, 3277 Valley Pike, in trailer lot number three.
They are only open on Tuesdays and Fridays and each day they are open, they only sell up to 100 dozen of doughnuts so they are open from 7:00 a.m. until they run out of stock for that day.
They have multiple flavors and toppings, including glaze, chocolate and powdered sugar, to perfect your taste buds.
On Thursday, Nov. 21 at 9 p.m. Shenandoah University’s Don’t Look Down is playing at Winchester’s own Sweet Caroline’s, located at 29 West Cork Street.
This band will be partaking in “A Movemeber to Remember” along with three other bands.
This event is a fundraiser for the Movember Campaign. All proceeds will go towards the LIVESTRONG foundation, so a $5 donation at the door would be most generous.
Go out and support not only four popular local bands but also support a great cause!
