Enjoy your snow day outside of your room

After having a lot of snow around Shenandoah University’s campus last week, I’m sure that everybody is dying to find something to do inside but outside of your room.
If you are tired of going outside trying to build a fort, build one inside with multiple blankets, pillows, couches and mattresses. You can use pretty much anything to make a fort. Channel your inner child and crawl into your fort to watch movies and drink your favorite winter beverage.
Even if you don’t want to go outside because it’s too cold, go to The Alamo Drafthouse, at 181 Kernstown Commons Blvd, or Apple Blossom’s Carmike Cinema, located at 1850 Apple Blossom Dr., and watch Disney’s “Frozen,” and listen to the song “Do you wanna build a snowman?”
“Frozen” may not be everybody’s top choice, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go to the movies and have a good time. Pick a movie you really want to see, get a group togehter and stay warm while seeing a nice movie. Remember, there is a student discount for everyone so bring your S.U. I.D.!
And if neither of those activities suffices you, then you should head downtown. Along the Old Town Walking Mall there is a pottery place called The Polka Dot Pot located off of Boscawen Street where you can paint any handmade pottery of your choice. There are plenty of items there that can be painted for a reasonable price and this place literally has just about every color Crayola has invented. Plus it’s a lot of fun and relaxing on a nice snow day.
All these activities are fun and affordable for a college student to participate in. So espace your room before you go crazy and enjoy your snow days while they are here.
