The Washington Capitals announced Saturday that they have fired head coach Adam Oates and will not be renewing George Mcphee’s, the team’s general manager, contract for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. Through CapsOnline, the Owner, Ted Leonsis and President, Dick Patrick held a press conference just a few hours after the announcements and gave remarks about Oates and McPhee. McPhee had been the G.M. for the past 17 years and Oates had only two seasons as a head coach ever after retiring from hockey himself. Adam Oates is a “Hall of Fame player who we believe will be a longtime coach in the NHL,” said Leonsis and Patrick.
The world’s new fastest elevator will be put into operation in 2016 in Guangzhou, China. The super tall skyscraper standing at 1,739 feet will be among the tallest in the world, but is still 1000 feet shorter than the record holder, reports CNN News. The elevator on the Guangzhou CTF Financial Centre skyscraper will move at a top speed of 45 mph. That is closely related to riding a speeding commuter train but going vertical towards the sky.

They teamed up together to help promote safe sex and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. Most people are very aware of STDs and safe sex but are embarrassed or worried about being seen buying condoms unmarried because it is frowned upon to have wedlock sex. The eye-catching design is modeled after pop art and has a very creative way to hide that it’s even a condom, making it easier to purchase in public.
A 661-pound pig fell down a well and was successfully saved on Friday morning in China states World News. There was no further information about the pig’s health after being pulled back up to safety.
