The National Leadership Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, is now accepting nominations for its chapter here at Shenandoah University. Membership in Omicron Delta Kappa is a mark of highest distinction and honor. The National Leadership Honor Society for college students recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character.
Membership in OΔK is awarded to undergraduate junior and senior students as well as graduate students. Candidates must have a 3.2 for juniors, a 3.3 for seniors and a 3.5 for graduate students and must show leadership in at least one of five areas: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service; social and religious activities; campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; and creative and performing arts.
Faculty and staff, please nominate an outstanding SU student today. Please visit http://www.su.edu/career-services-home/forms/ to complete a nomination form, which are due Friday, Sept. 26. Once students are nominated they will be contacted via e-mail and will be required to write a one page essay about what leadership means to them. The selection committee will then carefully review each student’s nomination form and essay.
