Students in Kelley Crowley’s spring 2017 Applied Writing class participated in one aspect of their Town Hall on Feb. 28 in which students were challenged to create a piece of literature based on a certain topic that would be interpreted by dance majors in their Town Hall class.

One poem, featured in the video above, was written by senior acting major Sarah E. Beck.

Beck said that her poem was based on the word “nourishment” and used “analogies based on Italian cooking” to explain what “nourishment” to her.

The piece was interpreted by freshman dance major Adrienne Elion, shown in the video.
