Disappointing news was delivered today by President Tracy Fitzsimmons at an urgent GCP meeting. All trips are postponed, with the goal to still have these trips depart in May in the week after graduation.
President Fitzsimmons informed students and faculty in attendance that the university must follow the CDC’s guidelines and due to an overnight update in travel plan recommendations. The CDC has sent out an announcement especially to higher education institution that strongly recommended postponing trips to any country.
President Fitzsimmons expressed that this is heartbreaking, and that students are able to stay on campus for spring break due to this unprecedented amount of change.
Please stay safe over this break, and keep a look out for other updates from The Buzz.
