Shenandoah University is kicking off its Apple Blossom celebration with Club Carnival on Saturday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will be hosted by The Sting. Games, prizes, and food will be spread throughout Sarah’s Glen, Lot E, and Abrams Creek Amphitheatre.
Participants can enjoy many activities such as Trash Can Pong, a dunk tank, various carnival-themed games, a mechanical bull, DJ Georgie, caricature artists, and a cookout with the Sport Business Association.
All activities and food are free to the Shenandoah University community.
“Club Carnival will be an afternoon full of pink and green, games and food,” said Amanda Tintaya, the assistant director for Student Leadership & Activities, in an email. “Student leaders from across campus will come together to provide entertainment in an Apple Blossom-themed carnival with prizes and giveaways.”
Upon arrival, participants must go to the check-in table located at the entrance to Sarah’s Glen. There, Shenandoah Go green passes will be checked, and participants will receive a wristband for entrance to the event. If participants do not have a green pass, they will be asked to leave. Masks and social distancing will be required throughout the event, however, masks can be removed while eating. There will be a designated eating area near Abrams Creek Amphitheater.
The fun doesn’t stop there. After Club Carnival, The Sting will host Apple Blossom T-Shirt Tie-Dying at 3 p.m. This event is free, but T-shirts will only be available while supplies last.
