After a bit of a late start, it is a pleasure to announce that The Buzz is finally gearing up for an amazing year of content! How exciting! But with this moment of joy, there is also the sad farewell to The Buzz’s previous editor, Rebecca Sims. She was extremely dedicated to this wonderful publication, and I wish her the best in her future endeavors. Olivia and I have very big shoes to fill!
I’ll admit that I never imagined becoming an editor of a school publication, let alone two! Yet, working on Avalon magazine and The Buzz newspaper is already proving to be a rewarding experience.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am a junior Media and Communications major. I also have two minors, Professional/Popular Writing and Public Relations! You can often find me roaming the Brandt Student Center as a Student Building Supervisor, or you’ll see me running events and sending emails as SGA’s Director of Communications. I may be pretty busy, but if you ever need anything, just reach out and I’ll be there to help.
This year, Olivia and I hope to create new content that is sure to excite our readers! Whether it’s spontaneous interviews, hard-hitting podcasts, or intriguing movie reviews, we’re ready to take the big step into multimedia coverage. We also look forward to having content that features events around Winchester instead of just on-campus news!
All of our ideas stem from the need to provide our readers with entertaining yet informational content. It is important to deliver the facts you deserve in a timely manner. With that in mind, we have set large goals with high hopes.
Thank you to all of our readers, and stay tuned for what happens next on The Buzz!
