Welcome all, my name is Demitri Matenopoulos, a senior Media and Communication major here at Shenandoah University. I hope you’ll join me as I walk around campus this semester getting to know some familiar and not-so-familiar faces and sharing what I learn about my new friends In a weekly column in The Buzz I like to call Look Who I Ran Into. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have!
I was on campus today and “Look Who I Ran Into” when I was walking through the student center!
This is Tim Goode, a senior Environmental Studies major from right here in Winchester. Some of his hobbies include lifting, collecting, and wearing military surplus gear. He also loves to spend time in nature. If he had a warning label, he said it would be, “Will probably make references nobody understands.” Some of his hidden talents are voices and impersonations, and his biggest fear is failure. If he was stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three things, he would bring a striker for starting fires, a knife, and a signal mirror. He said his friends would describe him as extroverted, helpful, and optimistic. He loves Shenandoah University because of the small class sizes and how helpful the professors are when people have questions or are lost in class. Following graduation, Tim would like to work with the state or national park services. He has done work with state park services in the past and has really enjoyed it.
