Welcome all, my name is Demitri Matenopoulos, a senior Media and Communication major here at Shenandoah University. I hope you’ll join me as I walk around campus this semester getting to know some familiar and not-so-familiar faces and sharing what I learn about my new friends in a weekly column in The Buzz I like to call Look Who I Ran Into. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have!
Look who I ran into in The Hornet Grill today.
This is my friend Zoe Johnston, a sophomore Exercise Science major from Hagerstown, Maryland. She loves her teachers’ passion and how committed they are to students’ success. Zoe enjoys exercising and hanging out with her friends in her free time. If she could spend the rest of her life in only one season, she would choose summer because the weather is nice and there is always something to do. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because she really enjoys being around family and taking part in Christmas festivities like watching movies and decorating the tree. She thinks everyone should get into Gilmore Girls and Friends because they are some of the best shows she’s seen.
If she won the lottery, the first thing she would do is pay off her student loans. She said that if she could only choose one movie soundtrack to listen to for the rest of her life it would be Up. Her favorite class this semester is Anatomy and Physiology. She loves the small community feels that Shenandoah has. One goal she has for this semester is to keep all A’s in her classes.
Get out there and meet someone new every day. You never know what you’ll find out about people you think you know!
