Welcome all, my name is Demitri Matenopoulos, a senior Media and Communication major here at Shenandoah University. I hope you’ll join me as I walk around campus this semester getting to know some familiar and not-so-familiar faces and sharing what I learn about my new friends in a weekly column in The Buzz I like to call Look Who I Ran Into. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have!

Look Who I Ran Into in Buzzins today! This is my friend Ryan Coffelt. He is a first-year student in the athletic training grad program here at SU and is from right here in Winchester. He loves studying athletic training because he is passionate about helping athletes get back from injury and making them stronger. His inspiration for choosing to study athletic training comes from his trainer in high school helping him return to running after several injuries.

He really enjoys playing sports, hanging out with friends, and being outdoorsy in his free time. Something he cannot live without is his friends and family because he is very social. His favorite fast food chain is Chick-fil-A, and his favorite type of music is country. 

One of his guilty pleasures is late-night Cookout runs for a milkshake. He’s really excited to finish out his last semester in the spring and hopes to make many more memories along the way.
