As a Winchester local, I grew up going to the Apple Blossom parade and enjoying all the different activities. It was a tradition that my family and I went to each year. There were so many memories made, and I want to share some of the awesome things going on around town in the next week.
This year is the 96th Apple Blossom Festival, and it starts on April 28th and ends on May 7th. There are 10 days with over 40 events this year. I won’t touch on all of them, but I will mention some of my favorites and the most popular ones.
One of the first events that happens each year is the Bloomin Wine Fest. This is on April 28th from 3:00 pm-10:00 pm. If you’re 21, you can attend this event and taste many different wines, beer, and hard cider while enjoying food and live entertainment.
The Apple Pie Baking Contest is another popular event. Do you know someone that makes good homemade apple pie? Have them enter the contest on May 4th.
All the kids love a carnival. Grab some funnel cake and enjoy the rides from April 28th to May 7th.
The most popular attraction is the Grand Feature Parade. This event takes place on May 6th, and there are all sorts of fun things throughout the parade.
Lastly, you can also enjoy things like car shows, sports breakfasts, fireworks, and more.
