The Shenandoah University softball team lost two home games to Lynchburg College on Wednesday.
Shenandoah University’s women’s softball team lost both games against the Eastern Mennonite University Royals on Tuesday.
The Shenandoah University women’s lacrosse team lost 7-6 against the Roanoke College Maroons on Tuesday. It was the Hornets’ first in-conference game of the season.
The Hornets lost their opening game 15-5.
“We struggled last year with such a small team but this year we have plenty of subs and everyone has good skills,” senior captain Jacque Hemler said.
The Shenandoah University softball team kicks off their season with a 10 a.m. contest this Saturday at the Salem Tournament.
Shenandoah University Lady Hornets fell to the Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) Royals on Wednesday with a score of 74 to 45.
Although the team has a history of losing to Goucher College, the ladies came out on top with a score of 64-59 in their home opener.
The team will get a 25 percent commission on each item sold on their Stella & Dot online store through Saturday, Nov. 12.

Shenandoah Softball started their season the weekend of Feb. 20 and 21 in Salem, N.C. with two double-headers. The team hopes to continue the season strong after last year’s losing season, when they just missed the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) playoffs.
